WANA (May 12) – The Iranian Armed Forces’ Chief of Staff, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, issued a stark warning to Iran’s adversaries during a field visit to operational units of the Army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in southern Iran, saying: “If you initiate a conflict with the Islamic Republic, the end of the war will not be determined by you — it is the Islamic Republic of Iran that will decide how it concludes.”

Speaking on the second day of the high-level military inspection — which included Army Commander Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi and IRGC Commander Major General Hossein Salami — General Bagheri emphasized the Armed Forces’ full readiness to confront any potential threat.

“In our field evaluations and inspections of Army and IRGC units, we reached full confidence that, in terms of intelligence superiority, combat capability, operational readiness, and strategic planning, we are at the highest possible level,” Bagheri stated.

The inspection focused on the naval units of both the Army and the IRGC stationed along Iran’s southern coasts. Bagheri confirmed that all military operations, drills, and readiness levels in the region were thoroughly reviewed.

“We are confident that our forces are in peak condition, both mentally and operationally, and stand fully prepared to counter any hostile action,” he said.

In a direct message to foreign adversaries, Bagheri warned: “To those who live under the illusion of threatening Iran, be advised — you may start a confrontation, but it will be the Islamic Republic of Iran that decides how, when, and where it ends. Any miscalculation will come at a heavy and regretful cost to the aggressor.”

He concluded with a stern reminder: “Any hostile intent or move against the Islamic Republic of Iran and its sacred land will be met with decisive and capable force.”
